Ethics

IHRDP, as part of a national network, completed a project to address the issue of ethics in Aboriginal health research. In November 2004, the IHRDP brought together Aboriginal health researchers, community members, Elders and traditional healers to discuss, document, plan, and evaluate Indigenous health beliefs and practices that were developed into a set of ethical principles. A vetting process took place in February, and a report submitted to the Institute of Aboriginal Peoples' Health.
